Waffle recipe for one person

topic posted Mon, December 25, 2006 - 8:40 PM by  Patti
A friend of mine asked me today if waffle makers came with recipes for making single waffles. He lives alone, and wants to buy a waffle maker, but making a full batch of batter doesn't really make sense.

I told him that the waffle maker wouldn't, but that the net might. I've looked, t hough, and Google isn't revealing its secrets.

Do you have a recipe, or suggestions for him?

My brother lives alone. When he makes waffles he makes a full batch, and the ones that will be leftover he leaves a bit undercooked and freezes them individually wrapped. That way, he can have homemade toaster waffles another day.

      I do the same thing

on that same note...he could make half the batter and go from there, or find someone to cook breakfast for ;-)

        on that note, Hoops............
how old is your friend Patty? heh I love waffles :) and am cooking outdoors. yep truly. no waffles here for_like_EVER!
I agree on the freezer+toaster method... mom made those for use when we were kids so we could feed ourselves easily. and feeding ourselves easily still comes in handy today! or on a more batter-quantity note, why not Do The Math and cut a full recipe down to serving size? and wait, if this guy can't do math..........
