Here's a great recipe I found in a 50-year-old cookbook. It's perfect for parties, football games, or simply to feed a hungry family.
1 .lb ground beef
1 + 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teasp. pepper
1 teasp. horseradish
1 teasp. Worcestershire
1 teasp. prepared mustard
1 can tomatoes, well-drained; or, 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 cup grated cheese Cheddar/Mozarella cheese
2 tablesp. snipped parsley
1/2 teasp. dried basil
1/4 teasp. dried oregano
A few pitted ripe olives
Start heating oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly toss beef with salt, pepper, horseradish, Worcestershire and mustard. Press against sides and bottom of a 9" pie plate. Spread tomatoes or sauce over meat; then sprinkle with onions, cheese, parsley, basil, oregano, olives. Bake 20 minutes. Cut into wedges like a pizza, and serve.
This is a terrific meal!
I'll try it! Looks good! Yummy retro!
The only thing I'll do is add a egg to the meat mixture "crust" -- to help bind it and keep it from crumbling. I'll also probably use my false bottom straight-sided pan.

I was wondering about a binder too with the meat. I cant see how it would hold its shape to be sliced.
